Design is the process of creating a product, system or process for a specific purpose. Design involves a wide range of considerations and decisions, including factors such as aesthetics, function, ergonomics, usability, durability and cost-effectiveness. Here are the basic stages of the design process:

Needs Analysis:

• The design process often begins with meeting a specific need. Customer or user needs are identified and analyzed.

Research and Concept Development:

• After identifying needs, the design team conducts research and develops concepts. At this stage, steps such as examining similar products, evaluating market trends and considering innovative solutions are taken.

Design Sketching:

• Ideas are sketched on paper. Hand drawings help visualize concepts and allow the design team to share and evaluate ideas.

3D Modeling and Prototype Production:

• To make the design more detailed, 3D models are created with computer-aided design (CAD) tools.
• The first prototypes are produced and the design is given a physical form.

Testing and Improvement:

• Prototypes are tested and user feedback is collected.
• The design is evaluated for performance, durability and usability.
• If necessary, the design is improved and tested again.

Production and Distribution:

• Once the design is approved and developed, mass production begins.
• Products are prepared and marketed for distribution.

Policies Monitoring and Maintenance:

• Once products are released, the design team tracks feedback and monitors the product’s performance.
• If there are situations that require maintenance and improvement, the design process can be updated in the light of this information.

Each design process is unique and may vary depending on the characteristics and requirements of the project. Design requires an interdisciplinary approach and often involves the collaboration of experts from different fields such as engineering, art, ergonomics and marketing.
